Shopping ON-LINE with Panasonic Store Bournemouth

At the Panasonic Store Bournemouth we would like to make your shopping experience on-line as easy as possible. We hope that you will find it easy to use our website and to make your purchase.  It is necessary for us to have some Terms & Conditions of Sale, we have tried to keep these as clear as possible, however if you have any queries, you can always email or call us before you make your purchase.

ON-LINE Terms & Conditions – 20 April 2011

The most important aspect of shopping on-line with Holmans is that you should feel safe and secure, we have kept our Terms & Conditions as clear as possible and hopefully provided you with all the information you need to go ahead with your on-line purchase.  You will need to accept these Terms & Conditions before making your purchase so please do read them carefully.  

It is also important to note that different terms & conditions may apply (including prices, charges for services, availability, delivery times and returns policies) to purchases made in our stores.

Our contract after you have ordered

Firstly, don’t worry if you make mistakes during your order, you can correct any input errors at any point until you confirm payment. Even then you will find that we are very approachable and will always do our best to help you with an order that may have gone wrong.

Once you’re happy everything is correct, submit your order.

You will receive an email from us confirming the receipt of your order.

Additionally you will receive an email detailing exactly how your order will be handled with delivery information if applicable.

If for any reason we cannot complete your order we will contact you via email or telephone to explain the reasons and to offer your alternatives.

From time to time errors may occur albeit unintentionally. The published information about products on our website including the price, description and availability is subject to change.

We may have to cancel your order at anytime up to the point of dispatch even if you have a confirmation of order email from us.  Wherever possible we will discuss this with you and will offer you an alternative or a full and prompt refund of any monies you have paid.

If you choose the “Reserve” option your email confirmation will give you an order reference number with details of your order.

We will contact you to advise when and where to pay for and collect your product (or arrange local delivery if applicable).

Your order will be held for a period 48 hours after which time it will be cancelled unless prior written arrangements are made with you.

You will not be asked for payment until you collect the goods from your chosen store (or arrange a local delivery).

As all “Reserve” sales take place in our stores, sales are subject to the normal in-store terms of sale, statutory rights and the Manager's discretion.

Take a print out of your “Reserve” order reference number with you and our store will sell you the goods at the website price or store price, whichever is cheaper.

Prices and payments

All of our prices are in UK Pounds Sterling (£’s) including VAT at the current rate of 20% where applicable.

The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you order, delivery charge (if any), plus any additional services you select.

Your Shopping Basket will clearly show these costs before you submit an order. Payment is deducted once your order is submitted unless you select the “Reserve & Collect” option.

We need to protect our customers and ourselves against fraudulent activities and in so doing we may use certain information including any received from our identity verification partner, currently 192.com before accepting your order. For example, we may pass your details to them to check against certain public and private databases.

Delivery & Installation services

You’ll find all the finer details about our delivery, installation and recycling services in our Delivery & Installation section.

Delivery

Some kitchen appliances, accessories etc., are usually delivered by courier or by post, generally within 3 days to UK addresses only.  Please note that overseas customers are not able to claim VAT refunds on deliveries to a UK address. A courier delivery lets you track your order by clicking on the link from your confirmation email.  Deliveries by Royal Mail may not be tracked but you should normally be expected within 3 days.

We will notify you of the delivery method we are going to use when we send you the order confirmation email. If you buy a number of items it is possible that you’ll receive your goods separately.

Large products, such as cookers and plasma TVs are usually brought to you by our own home delivery service. We offer the option of purchasing a 3 hour delivery slot to suit you, or an all day delivery option which is free of charge. For large products we will inform you about delivery dates as part of the order process.

Disconnecting your old appliances

You’ll need to have safely disconnected your old appliance prior to our arrival unless you have chosen one of our installation services for your new product. Gas and dual fuel cookers should only be disconnected by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Mains-wired electric cookers should be disconnected by a competent person.

Missing, damaged or incorrect orders

We do everything we can to ensure your order arrives with you in a complete and pristine condition.  If you don’t receive all of your products at once, you can check that they have been dispatched using our tracking facility detailed in the confirmation email. In the unlikely event that the product is faulty we should be notified immediately.

Returns & After Sales policy

If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 21 days after delivery.

Following the Distance Selling Regulations, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them.  You are entitled to a refund as long as you return your goods within 7 working days* from the day of delivery. The goods must be in an ‘as new’ condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories and free gifts received with it. The product must not have been used or installed or had any data inputted.

Whilst the goods are in your possession you must take reasonable care of them and not use them.

* Working days means all days other than Saturday, Sunday and public holidays

To cancel and receive a refund for your purchase in accordance with the above:

You can return the product to one of our stores with your receipt, bringing the card you paid with so we can credit it.

By phoning us on 01202 612233 with your order reference number and delivery details to hand.

We will then give you a full refund for the cost of the product plus the delivery charge paid. However we do have the right to retain any charge paid for services which have already begun or been completed.

Refunds take 3-5 working days to be credited to your payment card.

We cannot refund/cancel your purchase:

If you return your product to a store without proof of purchase

There is a contract for services with the product and you have started using the services.

The seal has been broken on any DVDs, CDs, memory cards or software, including games, or on any personal hygiene products such as earphones.

The goods were a special order to your specification

Faulty goods

It’s bad enough that your product develops a fault, so we try to make our returns or repair service as painless as possible.

You always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 21 days of delivery. If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period (normally 12 months from delivery) we will offer you a prompt repair service*. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

For a refund or exchange, the product must be in otherwise 'as new' condition, complete with any accessories and free gifts offered and if possible, with the original box and packaging.

You can either return the product to us with a copy of you invoice and a description of the fault or phone 01202 612233 to arrange for collection. Refunds for faulty goods include the applicable delivery charge and you will not be charged for collection. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery. If a fault occurs while you are abroad, please contact us to discuss how we can assist. We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Consumable items, such as non-rechargeable batteries are covered by guarantee for 3 months after delivery.

Items sold on this website are generally intended for normal domestic and consumer use and not for resale or commercial use. If we arrange to collect goods from you it will be at our cost.

*Usually repairs will be carried out by our own service engineers authorized by the manufacturer.  In some cases items are sent back to the manufacturer for their own service teams to carry out the repair or the manufacturer may send a service technician to your house.

IN-STORE Terms & Conditions of SALE - 30 November 2012

The following terms and conditions apply to all in-store transactions R K Holman Ltd (Trading as Panasonic Store Bournemouth).  Please read them carefully.

Ordering, Payment and pricing

We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase goods subject to these terms and conditions. No amendments to these terms and conditions will be accepted. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

All the prices are in £’s sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque (allow 7 days for clearance), Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro Debit Cards via our in store systems.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of placing your order if delivery is within 14 days from the date of placing your order.

Deposits

A minimum deposit of 20% of the total cost of the order is required when placing an order for goods and equipment that have to be ordered in especially for you.

This deposit is non-returnable for “Special Order” goods and equipment.

The balance of payment for the order must be paid prior to delivery of goods and equipment.

Overdue Payments

R K Holman reserve the right to charge interest at the rate of 2% above the Bank of England base rate on all overdue payments.

All goods remain the property of R K Holman Ltd (Trading as Panasonic Store Bournemouth), until paid for in full.

Prices

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, we have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed whether or not the order has been confirmed and payment charged. If payment has been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled we will immediately issue a refund.

To protect your security and prevent fraud where possible, we reserve the right to ask for proof of ID on all purchases. We have the right to refuse at our discretion to supply any goods ordered. R K Holman Ltd (Trading as Panasonic Store Bournemouth) will only deliver to the address of the purchaser and may ask for proof of identity on delivery.

Delivery & Installation (Charges)

Pansonice Store Bournemouth offers three types of installation (see separate listing of charges):

Premium Custom Installations

IMPORTANT - Installation of appliances in rooms with vulnerable flooring such as linoleum

Heavy products such as washing machines and dishwashers that do not have casters can often cause damage to linoleum type floor coverings particularly during the removal process.

We will exercise care and make every effort not to cause damage to flooring when we remove old products and install new ones however we will do this only on the express understanding that we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during the removal or installation process.

If you are unable to accept this, the delivery crew will un-box the product ready for you to make your own arrangements for installation.

Internet Connections

*Internet/Network connections are subject to a fully working connection to the internet being already established within the home and with a download speed that will work with the equipment to be installed.  The installer will spend a maximum of 30 minutes attempting to establish a connection, you must have your internet & equipment password available.

After 30 minutes if a connection has not been established an IT specialist will need to be booked. 

Additional charges will apply if extension cables or network over mains plugs are required, or additional IT work is needed.  Connections cannot be guaranteed.

Disposal of Old Appliance

We will disconnect and remove old equipment for safe environmental disposal  (additional charges apply).

*Once we have taken the old appliance it is deemed to be of no value and we won't be able to return it.

Returns Policy

We will not normally accept returns unless the products are faulty or damaged.  In the event that you change your mind or feel that you have made a wrong decision we will do everything possible to assist you.  If, at our absolute discretion, we accept goods for return a 20% restocking charge will apply.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event your order is received faulty or damaged please contact us immediately.

If your product develops a fault within its guarantee period, please follow the above instructions. Subject to the manufacturer's conditions, we will ensure your product is repaired R K Holman Ltd or an authorised UK Service Agent.

Complaints Procedure

We are human and we do, although unintentionally, occasionally make mistakes. In the unlikely event that we fail to give you the customer service you expect, or if you have a complaint or comments about any aspect of our service, please do not hesitate to contact us either by email customerservices@holmans.eu , by telephone or post using the details below.
